Why we Need a MySonicWall Account

To efficiently manage and activate SonicWall devices, users must create a MySonicWall account and register their products. This account acts as a centralized platform for managing SonicWall products, services, and licenses.

Creating a MySonicWall Account

Steps:

  1. Visit MySonicWall:

  1. Sign Up: Click on the Sign Up button on the login screen.
  2. Fill Out the Registration Form:
    1. Enter your email address.
    2. Complete all required fields, including your contact and company information.
  3. Submit the Form:
    1. After filling in all details, submit the form to create your account.

Activating Your Account

After registration, SonicWall will send an activation email to the address you provided.

To activate your account

    1. Open your inbox and find the activation email from SonicWall.
    2. Click the activation link included in the email.
    3. Once activated, you can log in to your MySonicWall account and begin registering your devices.

Registering a SonicWall Firewall Steps:

  1. Log In: Sign in to your MySonicWall account using the username and password you created.
  2. Navigate to Register Products:
    1. Go to My Workspace.
    2. Click on Register Products.
  3. Enter Product Information:
    1. Select the appropriate product group (tenant).
    2. Enter the serial number of your SonicWall firewall.
    3. Check the “On-BOX” option and click Done.

Once completed, your product details will be displayed in the account dashboard.

Activating Licenses on Your SonicWall Device:

  1. Prerequisites, Before you begin, ensure you have:
    1. A valid MySonicWall account
    2. The serial number of your SonicWall device
    3. A valid license activation key provided by SonicWall or your vendor

Steps to Activate the License

  1. Go to My Workspace
  2. Navigate to Products:
    1. Click on Products.
    2. Select the serial number of the SonicWall device you want to activate licenses for.
  3. Enter the Activation Key:
    1. Click on the Licenses tab.
    2. Locate the field for entering the activation key.
    3. Paste the activation key into this field.
  4. Activate the License:
    1. Click on Activate.
    2. The license will be applied to your device.
    3. The expiration date will automatically update based on the license purchased.

Verify Activation:

    1. Refresh the Product Details page.
    2. Confirm that the license status has changed to “Licensed.”
