CentOS 7.x lxc use graphical applications
By default lxc templates only have command-line utilities as graphical access to containers is not very common. However, if graphical access is required use:
- List available environments
- yum group list
- Install desired enviornment such as "GNOME Desktop" using
- yum install @^"GNOME Desktop"
- Exit from container
- Use "ssh -X" to connect to container with X11 forwarding enabled
- Try to run graphical application such as "gedit &" and validate.
