For configuring Dell N4032 switch in stack mode use following steps using Web based configuration GUI:

  1. Connect any two ports of the two switches with each other. Say port 23 of one switch with port 23 of other switch.
  2. Convert port type from Ethernet to Stack for this port in both switches
  3. Reboot switches. One which reboots first should become master. Only connectivity to master over IP would work. If master fails the other switch would be accessible over this IP only.

If stacking is working then two units in stack would be visible in web based switch configuration GUI. Further on command-line in

   show running-config
   show version

stacking configuration and stacking unit information would be visible.
