To add host to a cloudstack cluster use following steps:

  1. Ensure that cloudstack agent and host are setup properly. Refer CentOS 7.x Cloudstack 4.11 KVM Host setup
  2. Go to Infrastructure -> Hosts and click on 'Add host'
  3. On Add host popup use values such as:
    Zone
    zone1
    Pod
    pod1
    Cluster
    cluster1
    Host name
    <kvm-host-ip-address>
    Username
    root
    Password
    <redacted>
    and leave other things blank / unselected / default.

Note that adding host will take time. Do not navigate to other pages till host is added successfully.
