For each user official non-editable user profile fields can be added using:

  1. Go to site administration -> users -> User Profile fields
  2. Add new category and fields. Make field non-editable
  3. As an admin edit profile for each user and add values in corresponding field
  4. Optionall Enable full profile view for teachers or TAs or everyone so that they can look at the newly added fields.
