==Creating port mirroring==

To create port mirroring use following steps:
# Remove configuration from destination port
#:<pre>
#:: config t
#::     interface <Interface-no>
#::         no switchport
#::         no shut
#:</pre>
# Create monitor session
#:<pre>
#:: config t
#::     monitor session 1
#::         source <Interface> direction both
#::         destination <Interface>
#::         no shut
#:</pre>
#: There are session IDs from 1 to 10+ for multiple monitor sessions.
# Validate session is running as expected
#:<pre>
#:: show monitor session 1
#:</pre>
#: There are session IDs from 1 to 10+ for multiple monitor sessions.



To remove the created session use:
<pre>
config t
    no monitor session 1
</pre>


If we do not want to remove the configuration but only disable monitoring (port mirroring) temporarily then use:
<pre>
config t
    monitor session 1
        shut
</pre>
