To connect to SSH server using http proxy server using HTTP connect use following steps:
#Download corkscrew source from http://www.agroman.net/corkscrew/ and install it using '<tt>./configure; make; sudo make install</tt>'
#Add configuration lines similar to following in '<tt>/etc/ssh/ssh_config</tt>' file

#:: Host *
#::   ProxyCommand corkscrew <proxy-server> <proxy-port> %h %p
#:</pre>
#:Replace * with appropriate host, if corkscrew should be used only for a specific destination

Default configuration of many HTTP proxy servers is to allow CONNECT only for HTTPS ports such as 443 or 8443.
