Installing a new wordpress plugin

  1. Download the plugin zip file
  2. Extract the zip file and move the extracted folder to wp-content/plugins (Recommended over other methods)

You might want to download security plugins such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/sucuri-scanner/ or https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-limit-login-attempts/
