In case of a VDI RDSH environment observed multiple conhost.exe processes with high CPU. Tried to use:

sfc /scannow

in administrator CMD. This did not solve the problem. Using sysinternal process explorer ( https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-explorer ) also did not reveal more insight. Doing a full windows update and reboot also did not solve the problem.

Finally killed the offending processes via task manager. No adverse impact was reported by users. The reason for this high CPU usage is not clear. There are chances of virus infection. But Windows Bit defender and fully updated Trend Micro agent did not indicate any malware presence. CPU usage of all anti-virus agents was also very high.
