PC overheating problems are sometimes due to lesser capacity of SMPS then the power required by number of devices attached. Hence overheating is not always caused by slow CPU fan or dust in CPU heat sink or ineffective thermal paste between CPU and heat-sink. It can also be caused by insufficient current / voltage by SMPS unit. Hence if regularly CPU is getting overheated then changing SMPS to a higher voltage SMPS can solve the problem.
