Troubleshoot emails not getting downloaded in outlook issue

If emails are not getting downloaded in outlook:

  • Check whether free disk space is available or not
  • Check communication between laptop to mail server
  • Try to restart outlook application
  • Validate username and password over web login
  • Ensure that "View filters" are not applied
  • Try to create custom Send/Receive group for just one folder and see if that folder syncs properly. Validate local outlook content against what is visible in web login
  • Ensure that in send/receive groups refresh time is large enough (Eg 10 min) so that previous sync finishes before new sync is started
  • Finally if nothing else works try rebooting the system
