  1. Login to master node via root. Add nodes to PBS.
qmgr #Further on Qmgr: prompt use below
    create node <node1>
    create node <node2>
This should be done for all compute nodes
  2. Check PBS information. All three nodes should be visible
    pbsnodes -a
To get only state information for all nodes, we can filter for state and node name via grep:
    pbsnodes -a | grep '^[^ ]\|state' | grep -v last
  3. Create queue
    qmgr -c "create queue testq1 queue_type=execution"
    qmgr -c "set queue testq1 started=true"
    qmgr -c "set queue testq1 enabled=true"
    qmgr -c "set queue testq1 resources_default.nodes=1"
    qmgr -c "set queue testq1 resources_default.walltime=3600"
  4. Set queue default values
    qmgr -c "set server default_queue = testq1"
    qmgr -c "set server scheduling=true"
    qmgr -c "set server job_history_enable=true"
  5. Check server properties
    qmgr -c "print server"
