We can open https://drive.google.com/ and see total / used space of individual google account. In case of organization account with fixed total pooled storage, we can only see used space and not total space of organization.

If we are running out of space on an old account and want to know where the space is going (Gmail, Google Photos, Google drive, etc.) then we can use:

  1. Login into google account and open any application (eg drive.google.com)
  2. Then on top right corner click on profile picture and click on "Manage your google account"
  3. Click on "Payments and Subscriptions" option in left menu
  4. Go to "Account Storage" and click on "Manage storage"
  5. Here we can see space used by each of the applications such as Gmail, Google Photos, etc.
In case of shared storage from parent organization we can see storage per person (eg 5TB) that is possible for google drive for each user of the organization.

For syncing files to google drive as a cloud backup refer CentOS 8.x rclone for syncing documents to google drive
