Install WPS Office on Ubuntu 24.04

This guide explains how to install WPS Office on Ubuntu 24.04 using the Ubuntu App Center.

Installation Steps

Step 1: Open the Ubuntu App Center

  1. Click on the Show Apps button in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
  2. In the search bar, type App Center.
  3. Click on the App Center icon to launch the application.

Step 2: Search for WPS Office

  1. Click the Search icon.
  2. Type WPS into the search field and press Enter.

Step 3: Select the Correct Package

Multiple versions may appear. For the best experience on Ubuntu 24.04:

  1. Look for the result labeled WPS Office.
  2. Click on it to open the details page.

Step 4: Install and Authenticate

  1. Click the green Install button located at the top-right of the page.
  2. A security prompt will appear asking for your user password.
  3. Enter the password and click Authenticate.
  4. The progress bar will show the download and installation status.

Post-Installation

Once the installation is complete, you can find:

  • WPS Writer
  • WPS Spreadsheets
  • WPS Presentation

in your Applications Menu.

Note: On first launch, you will be asked to accept the WPS Office License Agreement. Review the terms and click Confirm to begin using the suite.
