Upgrade OS or firmware in Dell N4032 switch

For upgrading OS or firmware in Dell N4032 switch use:

  1. Download firmware from Dell site
  2. Extract zip file. It will have documentation pdfs and stk (Firmware image)
  3. In case of stack enable firmware synchornization between stack members
  4. Use GUI (Web interface) to download stk on switch using http protocol for updating backup image
  5. Telnet / ssh to switch and use:
    1. show version
    2. boot system backup
    3. reload
    4. show version
